I live and work in the town where Andy Griffith grew up. This is also the town that he patterned his fictitious town of Mayberry from. I work in the tourist industry and I am interested in learning all that I can about the characters of the show and how they came into being, how many eqisodes that each appeared, etc. For example, the lady who played Thelma Lou has moved to our town and is enjoying her retirement here. The tourist want to know about these characters and it is an easy reference.

) I have not finished reading the book yet. I like that it has more pictures than the previous book. I also like that it goes in another direction than the other book. You don't have a lot of repitition. I love "The Andy Griffith Show" and am an avid collector.
