AND IT'S DEEP TOO! won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Album Notes. You can't say enough good things about legendary comedian Richard Pryor. Few comedians in history have been able to poke fun at society through jokes and witty observations as brilliantly as Pryor did back in the 60's and 70's, resulting in best selling albums, hit movies, and sold out concerts. In addition, Pryor has proven to be on of the most influential comedians of all time (just ask Eddie Murphy), prompting many debates among comedy buffs that he may have been the greatest comedian of all time. There are few comedians that would warrant a box set compilation of their best work, but Pryor more than fits the bill, as evidenced by the mammoth nine disc set from 2000, AND IT'S DEEP TOO: THE COMPLETE. Featured are such classic albums as RICHARD PRYOR, THAT NIGGER'S CRAZY, IS IT SOMETHING I SAID, BICENTENNIAL NIGGER, WANTED: RICHARD PRYOR LIVE IN CONCERT, LIVE ON THE SUNSET STRIP, and HERE AND NOW, plus a bonus disc entitled THAT AFRICAN AMERICAN IS STILL CRAZY: GOOD S**T FROM THE VAULTS and an informative eighty page booklet. AND IT'S DEEP TOO: THE COMPLETE contains some of the greatest stand up comedy of all time and serves as a fascinating study into the genius mind of Richard Pryor
