An Inconvenient Book by Glenn Beck, Kevin Balfe (2007, Hardcover)

This book has got to be the Bible for American Politics for the Real American. Glenn Beck gives the challenges we are facing some common sense, practical solutions that we, the average American citizen can push our elected officials for.

Every American should give this book reading priority -
Every elected official needs to read this book and heed the advise.

It was our 12 year old son (yes, TWELVE YEARS OLD) that began to watch the Glenn Beck show and talk with us (50 year old parents) about situations in the world that we aren't hearing about from our media. This home schooled child has opened our eyes to an average American who is taking the REAL news and making us aware of the real challenges facing our country today. (A child did lead us to the truth!)

The book is very well written, and very well presented. We are now using the book as one of our home school texts and watching his show nightly for our current events class. Yes, there are two sides to each subject - but only one side is the common sense/practical solution.

Giving this book as Christmas gifts to relatives and friends this year - so their eyes will be opened up to the truth.

These reviews are all going to come down to one thing, either you like Glenn Beck or you don't.

He isn't a reporter or a journalist. What he is, is quite simply an intellegent man that has his priorities in the right place. His family is most important to him, as is God. What he isn't is a "shock jock". He seems to be the only person in the limelight with a microphone that isn't afraid to say that Al Gore is full of it, and that Islamic extremist are a very serious threat to us. The news that he reports on his Headline News nightly program, I am dumbfounded that it hasn't made it on local and national news! He backs every detail up with evidence and VERY credible witnesses. What I don't understand is how can you NOT like Glenn? He's humorous and insightful, his show is a fusion of entertainment and enlightment.

This book, NYTimes #1 best seller, and I think it all comes down to one thing, he's honest. No politically-correct watered-down messages. Plus, while this think looks like a textbook from some boring required circulumn class, it actually is an easy read. He keeps it lighthearted, even poking fun at himself (and everyone, and everything else), yet makes his point and proves his point. YOU WILL NOT LIKE THIS BOOK IF YOU ARE A HARDCORE, SUPER-SERIOUS AL GORE ROBOT. However, if you are open (even in the least little bit) to other thoughts that dare might go against Al's, you might actually ENJOY this book.

This book is engaging and insightful. Glenn Beck exposes the truth about global warming and other issues. The "global warming" scientists are now getting unprecedented funding for this fraudulent "crisis". Who would go against the mainstream?! It's hyper-excited news and everyone feels good about themselves by cutting back on one tiny part of their life. The only problem? It's all a lie. Glenn Beck is an honest and honorable man who puts truth before all of today's fad headlines. YOU GO, GLENN! Please keep trying to keep Americans from drowning in our own self-pity and wallow in our own destruction. It's crapola, anyway!!

Beck makes everything way too simplistic. The economy and politics aren't playground topics. He thinks that political correctness (I guess he means politeness) is taking over America--give us a break! Does he want America to go back to when someone (like my Dad) could call someone a "nigger" or a "broad" at work, and get away with it?

Sometimes he's funny, to be sure, but does he think that his readers are a bunch of immature teen-agers? You can be funny and "deep."

We need smarter conservatives, or at least smarter conservative books.

You can say what you want about Glen Beck but this book does bring up great points like letting an open market economy work instead of all the goverment intrusion that doesn't allow for private sectors to use new energy resources. The only chance we have of getting out of this recession/depression is by letting the markets work, all this government bail out of mortgages and helping stupid people that should have never bought a 300k home on a 35k income will simply make the market take longer to correct itself, if all these homes would simply go into foreclosure and get bought up at CURRENT MARKET Value the housing economy would fix itself, government bail outs will simply prolong the fix!

This book is an absolute load of garbage. I checked it out because people were referring to it as hilarious, a comic reply to the sobering subjuect of climate change. There is NOTHING funny about this book. The sickening concept that people actually think global warming is a cycle, or a hoax, is pathetic. I dont believe Canadians/Americans can deny the truth any longer: we have hurt our planet. Smog days, climate change and the nasty takeovers of insects and rodents cannot be politically spun out of existance- its actually happening. How much longer can you hide from it and live in denial? Maybe you dont care... thats fine. But dont be ignorant and call down those of us who are intelligent enough to accept it and fight climate change.

The only people that deny global warming are money hungry, political pigs. People who are only intersted in making MONEY, more for themselves, and to hell with the future of mankind... even thier own children. I challenge anybody who doubts global warming to do the research for themselves. Not the political spin Bush and the boys are feeding you, get a real EDUCATION. Join us, in the clear understanding of whats happening around us. If you still dont get up, visit northern Canada or the Arctic, talk to the people, get a sense for whats changed over the last 50 years. DONT allow yourself to be whitewashed, dont ever think you are bigger than life. Dont get sucked in by Hitleresque speaches which try to convince you that you can overcome anything, and that its okay to go on living off the fat of the planet and take all we can without giving back anything. We do rely on the planet. We are part of on ecosystem, we are responsible for more than just ourselves and yes, we are responsible for our mistakes.

A lot of people are listening to Al Gore, and will for a very long time. Al Gore is the REAL DEAL.

A must read for anyone wanting to understand what is going on now. As O Reilly says, "It's about seeing around the corner." Interesting, consice, intuitive. As necessary for seeing clearly as was the original by Thomas Paine.

I thought this book was a vey easy read, and he presented things from a layman's perspective and uses common sense to make his points. I would highly recommend. Although it doesn't specifically address the Obama Administration, most of the issues have not changed in the world. This isn't just about politics either, it's about life and many other issues. I had a lot of laughs and "Ah Hah" moments while reading.

A must read for everyone! One of the best and smartest books of all times. A great book for our school aged kids too.

great book. if you care about this country at all read this book and look at the world around you. Glenn has it pegged pretty close to the truth of what we are and what we will become if we do not get any common sense.

It was a good price, and I've wanted this book for a long time! It was better in condition than I thought it would be! (at first I thought the book wasn't in good condition...but then I realized that that was how the book was intended to look.... :) I thought it was funny once I realized that the pop can stains were printed on the page and not an accident!! LOL.) Seriously though, It was shipped fast, and come on time! I would buy from again!!

I purchased this book as an etablished Glenn Beck supporter, and he did not dissapoint. He hits the nail on the head, so to speak, on almost all of the issues discussed here. Great book for thinking people and recommend it highly.

This book is written by a man who has been through bad things in his life and has very strong views on how he got back up out of them. If you are a Glenn Beck fan of his radio or tv programs I highly recommend this book. Or if you need to find out the TRUTH on how to solve America's biggest, most fundamental problems.

I have always seen this book advertised on the Glenn Beck show.I was happy to finally get to read it.I enjoyed it very much.

This book contains a lot of startling information, but in Glenn Beck's unique entertaining style. Funny yet disturbing all at once. I would recommend this book to anyone, whether you're interested in politics and current events or not.

A "makes you wonder" kind of book. Love Glenn's show and now the book. Bought it because Glenn openly states things that a lot of us wish we could but are too timid to do it.

The book is great - Glenn has a great way of putting things and if people want the truth with humor this is the book.

I actually bought it for my husband. He has been hinting for me to get it for him for a long time. When I found it on ebay and saw that it was an autographed copy, I knew I couldn't beat the price. I loved my husband's look of surprise when he opened his gift. I love that ebay made getting the perfect gift for my husband easy, convenient and economic.

I bought this book as a gift for my son, I have one of my own and really like it. Glenn Beck is one of our favorite radio and tv hosts, and the book was a good value.

Required reading for Every American!! As usual, Glenn tells it like it is. How crazy liberals can come up with the ideas they do, I'll never know. I'm just glad Glenn is there to get the word out. Get this book in as many people's hands as you can! Smart, straightforward, backed up by facts (not just made up, off the wall crap like the liberals try to feed us -- Al Gore created the internet?! OK whatever you say, Al!)

in this book glenn beck talks about all of the major issues that our society seems to be so obsessed with. he tells you facts that no one else likes to bring up and he pokes fun at some of the most talked about facts. i recommend this book to anyone who wants to see the other side of some of our nations biggest issues!
