I love reading about the Amish...was very disappointed in this book...it was not what I expected...it was boring..I figured it would give more detail about the school shooting and the amish families and the way they had to deal with it...if a page would have stuck together with another one, you could have missed about the shooting....I only read about halfway thru it and decided to quit reading because I could not get into the book...All it kept talking about was grace and forgiveness..over and over again..Half of it did not even make any sense to me..I am just glad I did not pay a lot of money for this book...The main reason I bought this book was the fact that it happened in Pa, and this is where I am from..My sister and I both read amish books and I am not even gonna lend this one to her for her to read, its that bad...

A WONDERFUL INSIGHT INTO AMISH THOUGHT AND BEHAVIOR. MUCH TO BE LEARNED REGARDING FORGIVENESS; ALSO, A LOT OF HISTORY ABOUT MENNONITE AND AMISH BEGINNING AND DEVELOPMENT.

This is an excellent, thought provoking book that will challenge any reader to examine his/her own ideas about forgiveness. The three different sections each offer great insights into our own beliefs as well as giving us an opportunity to better understand the beliefs and lives of the Amish community. I have read the book twice and will reread it as time goes on to remind myself of the challenges presented to me as a human being.

I love the detail and information given to what had happened I grew up in Lancaster County and this truely is descriptive. I bought it due to I am involved in a Church Book Club and this was this months book.
