America's Parade (2001, Hardcover)

I bought this book because I'm a fan of the Macy's Parade and a department store employee. It's a perfect coffee table book. This book brings back so many great family Holiday memories for me. The pages are full of all the great floats we see year after year flying down the streets of New York. It tells the history of the Parade and the floats and even shows how they are made. The book touches on the movie Miracle on 34th Street. I left it on the table for the Holidays near an ornament of the Uncle Sam balloon, sold exclusively at Macy's, and everybody that picked it up to take a look was equally impressed.
So...I would suggest that anybody, young or old check out this book. It comes in both hard and soft cover and is well worth any price you may pay. If you get the chance to purchase one of the Macy's ornaments you'll have a terrific display for the entire Holiday season.
