American Pit Bull (DVD, 2007)

This is a great insight into one of the most misunderstood and most loyal dogs in the world. It captures this breeds rollercoaster ride through time and how we as people have allowed the media to portray them as evil and unpredictable creatures of habit rather than a reflection of the owners. It shows the breeds evolution and proper care that is required to own one of these beautiful animals. This is a must watch for anyone who has been lucky enough to enjoy the company of one of these dogs. Note that there are some graphic images of these dogs suffering through severe acts of animal cruelty and this is not recommended for small children.

it is a pretty low budget movie BUT lots of great information on the breed. it shows the real temperament of a pit bull and discusses many of the controversies associated with the breed. i would recommend this for anybody who would like to show people around them what a pit bull really is and show them that they are not just for anybody. i enjoyed the movie but i think it could have been a little more professional looking.
