American History by Alan Brinkley (2005, Paperback)

Never received the book!!!!! its been a month and a week now. Just diapered I tried to get in contact with this person but she would never answer to any of my emails

I barely used this book in an intersession class. I used the book that comes before this one in a semester class and did not like it at all. It is very biased, hard to read, and did not really help me appreciate history.

The book came as described. It took awhile for me to receive the book, but I would buy from this seller again.

The titling for this book needs to be changed in my opinion... there are 3 different books depending on what edition you are getting... there is the 11th edition from 2002...then there is the 11th edition from 2003..then you have the Regular book,plus you have VOL's 1 and VOL 2...then there is the 12th edition from 2005,2006,and 2007 that are just VOL 1 and Vol 2 i do believe....make sure your getting the correct one not everyone is saying Vol 1 or 2 or just the first one.. make sure you ask ask ask ask..the seller which edition along with which volume...i ordered the 12th edition but was unaware that there was also Vol 1 and VOL 2 and recieved Vol 2 when i needed VOL 1 or the 11th edition that was from 2002 that was just 1 book...now i have had to go and order another book to get the right book...also check you ISBN numbers they are important just as well...a CD also comes with the book,if you need it you have got to make sure you ask the seller if that comes with it...REMEMBER ASK ASK ASK..there ARE 3 BOOKS NOT JUST 1

American History was the exact book needed for a college course and priced at the price I wanted to pay.

This book was very used, but great for a one semester college course. Price was excellent compared to new. Fast shipping. Great transaction.

never received it. seller just disappeared. left with no recourse. not happy. my son needed it for his class and was left wondering if it was just late. unfortunately it wasn't just late.

I never received this book from the seller! I did however, file a claim against the seller & have just received an email from half.com saying they are going to reimburse my full amount!! So, I think I can say there will be a happy ending to this story. But, I will warn you to research your seller's ratings & email them before you buy to see how well they communicate with you. This is the first incidence I've had like this and I've used half.com for a few years. So, I could say that's not so bad considering how many crooks there are out there that will try & scam you out of your money.

Hi: Ordered this book and paid for it on or about August26th 2006. Book was purchased for my granddaughter who is taking a History course at Holyoke Junior College,Holyoke, Massachusetts. Book was never received. I have filled out non-delivery reports three times to no avail. Finally I called Half.com and reported this situation. Have not heard from them since, however, I did secure a copy thru Amazon.com. This book cost me $77.73, which included $5.99 for fast shipping. I just received the book yesterday,Oct.5th,2006. My granddaughter has fallen behind in class slightly because of this situation and I can't tell you if the $53.25 has been returned to my credit card account. Enough said, I remain,R.House

I was very impressed how quickly, I received the book after I had purchased it and how the book was like new.

I didn't get this book yet even though my money has been taken. I sent mails to the seller but he hasn't answered yet. This is terrible!!

I never recieved this item from the seller. I liked nothing about this website (half.com). The time it gave for arrival was way to long. And now ebay has done nothing to reimberse me. I will have high doubts before i use ebay again, and will never use half.com again!
