Brinkley is very knowledgeable about Americal history, but very liberal. He wrote a couple of books related to liberalism. He referred to Hernado Cortez and his gang as "Christians" (right after he said that they murdered the Aztecs) just to spite Christianity, even though the conquistadors were not Christians at all, at least as far a the Bible is concerned. Again, it is just another liberal stab (and miss) at the Bible, miserable people. Also, he has a lot more bad to say about the white colonists than about the Indians (from different parts I've read of it), which rubbed me the wrong way. He does a good job of presenting the facts as they happened in most cases, but a few times his personal bias comes in in his writing.

This has got to be the most interesting history book I've ever had to read. It's bluntly honest about the good and the bad parts of early American history which is refreshing!

The textbook purchase was great. However, my tv purchase was a diaster. I was robbed for $864 and Pay Pal didn't nothing to prevent it or recover my stolen money. I DO NOT recommened e-bay for anybody! They do a terrible job in protecting innocent buyers. Please listen to me, I don't deserve this. Nobody does. Maybe someone can help me recover my money.

This is the most enjoyable text I've had for a class in my entire life. It's very thorough, educational, and interesting. There is a good chance I'll keep this book even after my class is done. It's very easy to understand has great pictures and diagrams. The online features are also great.

It is very enjoyable and easy to read. Whether you like history or hate it, I don't think you can be disappointed with this. Its diction is rather simplistic, but offers a rather detailed description of US history and after reading it, you will gain a new respect for US History. One negative is that isn't doesn't go into detail each election, but that isn't enough to bump it down to Good.
