This 26-track single-disc anthology covers nearly all the bases of one of the most incendiary musical subcultures in American history. With songs from Black Flag, Minor Threat, Negative Approach, D.O.A., SS Decontrol, Cro-Mags, the Big Boys, MDC, and Die Kreuzen, among others, the soundtrack not only covers the many regional scenes and slight stylistic variations of the sound, it offers compelling evidence of the genre's immense and lasting impact on punk, metal, and underground rock.
