American Graffiti (DVD, 1998, Collector's Edition)

Reminds me of happier times. When fun was clean and simple. Hot Rods, sock hops, driveins and hair grease. who could forget wolf man Jack?

I purchased this dvd for my dad, who is in his mid 60's as it reminded him of his much-younger years. It is a classic. Its funny to see some of the actors/actoress back then and how they have matured. This is a must-see for those who remember the street rods and the 1960's!!!!!

this has got to be the best early rock and roll movie ive ever seen,it has all the best 50's and early 60's music known.when i was a little kid in manhattan in new york city,i was passing the edison movie theater on 103 rd street and broadway when i looked at the pictures on the outside of the place showing what was playing inside and i saw all those hot rods and old time cars and i went in to see the movie and i was blown away by this movie,i mean if you like 50's music this flick has it all and i love the scenes and how they make you feel as though you wish you could be there and hang out in the strip and meet up with your friends and go to the burger joint and have a burger and coke,but the best part for me was the drag races i never saw a drag race before that and i was hooked,this movie is the one movie that ranks number #1 in my memories of movies ive seen.

My husband was very impressed have it on vhs and wanted it on dvd. Is a great movie about hotrods we have autgraphs from some of the actors that are in the movie one of his favorite

This film, directed by George Lucas, appeals to the semi-circular nostalgia that is common to films of this genre. The cast, which includes Richard Dreyfuss and John Howard, is studiedly not an all-star cast. The plot is simple to the point of tedium but, overall, Lucas succeeds in making a film that, while it lacks the subtleties of (for example) "The Last Picture Show" is not wholly dull.

I have always loved this movie however I found the DVD quality a bit lacking as compaired to others I own.It was the same as an average VHS tape.The value was a bit low due to the quality of this DVD.

It is American Graffiti!! Fantastic movies for all ages. Almost impossible to find in stores, only available on E Bay. Lot of extras added on the DVD.

Loved the movie years ago and really enjoyed the DVD purchased on ebay. This is a classic movie and should be in every baby boomers movie collection. There are many young actors in this movie that went on to become stars.

I searched specifically for this DVD and was quite happy to quickly locate it. I was not impressed with the time it took to deliver my purchase.

This should have won Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing in the 1973 awards.

I've always considered it to be totally superior to "Grease," whose plot was similar and whose characters covered the same time period.

it is a movie and I like it I don't feel like writing a book so just except the fact that I bought a movie that I like and that I didn't have in my collection,.

This is A GREAT MOVIE!! I LOVED IT! It was written so well.IT was full of different emotions for each one.IT was FUNNY but the kids had to make a few serious decisions along the way.It kept you so interested in what they were going to do next.They really picked the right actors for this movie! Could watch it again and again!

I bought this at my husbands request. We have seen it many times and he wanted to own it. He especially loves the cars as he is a car nut.... It is very nostalgic and fun to watch. But there is also all the teen angst going on.

Have been looking for long time and found movie and was very pleased especialy sence it is in DVD format , Item was very nicely displayed and the buy it now feature was what atracted me to it at a great price.

Was alright but disappointed as thought was full screen and was a wide screen. Otherwise purchase was alright. Fast shipment.

One of my favorite movies of all-time. Brings back great memories. The cast of characters the music the cars. It bring be back to a time when things were simpler.
The whole storey from beginning to end is just great. Almost every actor when on to become a big star and or a director latter on in their careers.

I bought this DVD about 1 week ago. I watched the movie and liked everything about it. I have seen it before but never owned it. Now I can watch this movie whenever I want. I decided to buy this movie because I wanted to be able to watch this movie anytime I wanted. Overall this was a good buy.

Excellent movie. Rec'd in good condition. Bought it because we are classic car collectors and the movie is a classic. Good plot, good action, great actors, they just don't make movies like this anymore.
