  Where were you in "62"
Review created: 10/06/09

I graduated from high school in 1962 and although it was in a small town near Louisville Kentucky the same caricatures, the cruising, the hamburger drive in, it was all in this small town as it was in California.Perhaps the end of a way of life is somehow portrayed in this movie, there is no doubt the country was changing in many ways.If you lived during these times this movie tugs at your heart and perhaps leaves you with that melancholy feeling in your gut.If you did not live in these times you owe it to yourself to watch and learn and perhaps have a little more insight into those gray headed old people you see at the mall, they truly were not born old we had a youth and it was something.A real part of Americas past was smartly preserved in this classic.I never tire of seeing it.

this is an average movie. i collect richard dreyfuss movies. i like him in this.it takes you back in time, to a so-called simpler life.with it comes the vietnam war, and how it affected the characters. i thought ronnie howard was a boring character....and cindy williams was a pain in the ass. check it out...
