A superior shocker.

6 friends are forced on an island (one of whom just got released from an asylum)after their plane has engine trouble. One by one they are killed in weird ways by this family deep in the jungle. With Rod Steiger (Amityville Horror), American Gothic is a good mixture of humour and horror. This is very similar to Texas chainsaw massacre, but is more humourous than it. Review based on old Vidmark VHS edition.
