American Girl (DVD, 2006)

Great vaule on three wonderful movies! A must have to every little girl!! I loved them ever one myself. They were watched by everyone that visited over the holidays. A wonderful set that will be enjoyed for years to come!

Great stories, and both daughters loved them. However, the thing that lowered my rating from excellent was that two out of the three DVDs were irregular in size, I'm guessing, because my player had quite a difficult time getting the movies to play.

Great American Girl story of life in the 40's....taught the grandkids what life was like back then. It was wonderful..

I have enjoyed all the American girl movies, as have my three grandaughters!! They are well made with wonderful actors and have great historical as well as moral themes. They can provide excellent discussion with your children. They also instill an interest in learning more about American history. Great movies for all ages!!

I bought these for my missionary brother-in-law in outer Mongolia. When I shipped them to him, one would not play - disappointed.

My daughter loves all the American Girl Dolls! I thought I would buy the movies. I really like the old fashioned story lines. It gives her an opportunity to see what it was like back then. She has learned some great lessons from them also. I recommend them all!

I was happy when I received the dvd i had ordered. I had purchased a set of same dvd and one of the dvds did not work even though it was supposed to be a new product. This was a perfect transaction! fast delivery. the product was in an excellent condition.

I am always in the market for some entertainment that is wholesome and good for the family. It's hard to find this type of movie these days, unless you want an animated flick. These three American Girl movies were great. Before we purchased the latest American Girl movie, Kit Kitridge, we had never heard of them. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I purchased this DVD set for my daughters, who are new American Girl doll owners. They are reading the book series rather quickly, so I thought this would be a nice surprise for them. What a great decision!

All three movies are excellent, wholesome family movies. They are scripted well in that the movies tell a great story without resorting to the same sappy drama of so many "family" movies. Additionally, all three movies were cast extremely well. The appearances of well-known individuals such as Mia Farrow, John Schneider and even Molly Ringwald (in one of her finest roles, as Molly's mother) were a welcome surprise, and only added to the movies' quality. The characters are quite believable, and the portrayal of various time periods are accurate. It was very interesting for my girls to see not only how families of each time period lived and what type of clothing they wore, but also how the different characters conducted themselves in various situations, such as when dealing with parents, adult community members, peers, etc. The difference in the behavior of the three "mother figures" (Felicity's mother, Samantha's aunt, and Molly's mother) was especially interesting in that each one displayed the socially acceptable behavior appropriate for women of the time. My girls and I have had several discussions on what it meant to be "proper" during each time period, and I feel that they have benefitted educationally from these observations.

Our whole family, including several generations, has enjoyed these movies repeatedly in the weeks that we've had them. My girls have enjoyed re-reading the books that the movies are based on, and are driven to read more and learn more about these generations. The movies have encouraged them to learn more about these periods of time much better than paragraphs in a textbook ever could! I highly recommend them!

My 9 year old granddaughter loved all the American Girl movies. The little girls are such interesting characters living in different eras of American history. Fun, entertaining and educational. Recommended viewing.

This was a Christmas present for my mother! Thank you very much. I wish it got to me faster but I had it in time.

Samantha is well acted and a must see for all girls of all ages. My girl loved it!!!

Felicity is another well acted movie and to think that the actress, Shailene Woodley, now plays on the secret life of an American Teenager.
Watching Felicity and her girlfriend Elizabeth do the "potty squat" dance (When you see it you will understand) is a riot

Molly is a great film that is rarely shown on TV. It is a bit more gritty and real than the other two but still deals with some historical reality in a way girls will comprehend.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. These are great movies for little girls.

Thank you for the fast shipment. Dvds were as descriped A+. I bought this for a Christmas presant and the nine year old was pleased. The Dvd that was opened worked like new. This three pack was a little cheaper then new and service to by mail was a time saver of shopping for me.

This is something that my 9 year old and I agree on!! The American Girl movies are wonderful for all ages and have good "morals" for children and adults alike. We really enjoy watching these together.

I purchased the American Girl movies for my 6 year old daughter as a Christmas gift, she also got her 5th American Girl doll. We curled up and watched all 3 movies in a row, after each movie she asked if she could watch it again. I think that says it all. American Girl does not disappoint QUALITY as always.

I haven't watched any of the movies because I bought them for a Christmas gift. They came quickly and in perfect condition.

No effort was made by this seller to replace the American Girl DVD set that I never got! I have a very disappointed daughter, as well as myself, about not only not receiving the item I ordered, but also with this seller's inability to do the RIGHT thing and send another set!!!! This has been a horrible EBAY experience for me, one that will make me think about what and who to buy from. This is by far the worst seller I have ever run across. No customer service, no thought for making a bad situation better and poor selling character. I rank this seller an F for failure to meet, what I thought was good service from most, if not all ebay sellers. My mistake, for picking out this seller, who would have known!!!
