American Flyers (DVD, 1999, Widescreen)

I love this movie, because it brings back memories of the era when I saw it the first time, like all good movies and music do. It was originally released to movie theaters in 1985. The action sequences are quite good, though like most sports movies, there are a few eye-rolling moments for elite athletes that actually engage in the sport. The acting is quite good, with a very likeable cast. And Kevin Costner was young and adorable - what more can you ask? : )))

Great movie. One of Costner's first and a fun, yet emotional trip taking you through the excitement of bicycle racing and the difficulty of facing illness and personal hardship. One of those movies that you kind of know the outcome but it's still fun to watch as it unfolds.

Love the story...I remembered this move from when I was younger, and just had to have it. Well worth the purchase.

This could be one of the best classic cycle racing movie ever. A great story with great actors to tell it. Set in the early '80's, it is a great example of early american racing.

American Flyers is on of the best movies made about cyling. It has a great story with laughter and drama. The best cyling sequences ever flimed! Great actors.

A must have for any avid cyclist......It makes you wanna race. Shows the love between two brothers and the love of a common bond....Highly recommend...
