I have owned the cookbook for two years and regularly purchase it as a gift. Outstanding guidance on recipes--pot roast, chili, cherry pie, mashed potatoes, etc. If you want the best, tastiest outcomes on all the American comfort foods, this is the volume to buy. Also try all the Cooks Illustrated cookbooks. They're all great.
