My new Favorite CD! Hank tells it like it is, songs tell how the values and way this country is run is no longer the way it was intended or should be, and that our forefathers must be turning in their graves!

Of course a country boy can survive is the reason for buying this cd. However, most of the songs are not horrible to listen to.

Had this album when it first came out, loved it then - love it now. If you like Hank Jr. this is a must have for your collection. If you don't know Hank Jr., this would be a good place to start. It is (in case you couldn't guess from the title) full of political issues and how Hank Jr. feels about them. I'm not a politically minded person myself (find the whole business of politics a big fat joke) but listening to this album made me want to pay a little closer attention.

I can't say enough, so I'll just leave it at "must add to your collection". Some of the songs will make you laugh til you cry, and others will just make you wonder about the world you live in.

I actually bought this CD hopeing that the song, A Country Boy Can Survive,was the recording he had done with someone else before the Y2K scare. It had different lyrics but was done to the same tune. Overall it's a great CD though, only problem I had with it was that I allready had these songs on different albums.

THIS IS HOW AMERICA SHOULD BE HEARD. EXCELLENT WRITING. HANK JR. AT HIS BEST. THE BAND ISN'T TO BAD EITHER.
