Movie Description
The first half of the 1970s saw the heyday of introspective songwriting and vocal harmonizing, and no band epitomized the era's pastoral post-hippiedom more than the soft-rock trio America. Formed by the offspring of American service personnel stationed in the U.K., America mined the acoustic influences of James Taylor and Crosby, Stills & Nash to produce a string of well-crafted singles that swelled the AM radio airwaves with peaceful, easy feelings. This concert film captures America at their 1975 creative peak, performing live renditions of classic tunes like "Tin Man," "Ventura Highway," and "Horse With No Name" for a nostalgic throwback to a simpler time.
