America Firsthand by Anthony Marcus, David Burner, Robert D. Marcus (2006, Paperback)

I bought this book, America Firsthand, for my American History class. It has interesting stories and first hand accounts from Colonial Era of North America, weaving to the American Revolution leading to the American Civil War. Though a bit dull for a History Textbook, it is a refreshing way to understand what was going on in the minds of the people during those times in history that shaped the America of today. It is a good read. However, for a class textbook, I would not go for it.

I was a bit dissapointed that I did not get an email with a tracking number for my package, overlooking that, I must still say that what you guys do is a blessing. I would NEVER have been able to afford that textbook till I found your prices. Thank You. This book was a requirement for my history class. It is a collection of first hand accounts of early America. You can read about the same things in history books but these are written by individuals about their own experiences. If you love history this is a must have. It takes you to a different time and place and you really get an understanding of what our ancestors went through in making this nation what it is today.
