Paula's last release for Warner-she again switches direction from her previous work. here she and Jay and Kevin work classic soul styling, some r&b, and hip-hop-with total command. This woman's voice is the absolute- technique-range-emotion-feel-musicality-all in one. her lyrics always seem a bit odd at first reading-until you REALLY listen, hear, feel and think. From her first album Harbinger to her latest Courage she has proved to be the most prolific,versatile,deep, talented but underrated female (or male for that matter)artists of the last 20 years. let alone Jay Bellarose and Kevin Barry as her sidemen....

) Not bubblegum pop or the canned and recycled junk that seems to be dominating the market today, this is a CD where excellent vocals are used to bring great lyrics to life, then the work is backed up by music that is perfectly fitted to the singer and what she wants to accomplish.
It probably frightens the bubblegum pop people, but if you're really into music this is a collection that is more than worth the time and money,
