The race starts here and is amazing
I missed the first season, caught bits and pieces of the finale. The whole thing was a little strange to me as I never had watched any of it, but it got me curious. I borrowed some tapes from a friend and was hooked. What the DVD's give you is how it came to being, some wonderful insights from the contestants, and the missing roadblock in episode 1. The show has gotten more polished and refined over the years, but going back to see how the show was flying by the seat of it's pants where no one knew what was going to happen next. You get to know most of the teams a lot better, and find out a lot about them not seen in the show. Most of the teams were from the New York area, at least 3 of them and the casting was minimal the first year. This show has grown, but I still love Drew and Kevin and Nancy and Emily and will forever hate the Guidos. Worth the money to get the whole story.
