I Am Spock by Leonard Nimoy (1995, Hardcover)

This is a book to tell us about the process Leonard Nimoy went through when he wrote "I am Not Spock". He knows that his is Spock and will forever and always be famous for being this beloved character in my heart as well as millions and millions around the planet. He is a very good speaker, he write just as well, he has done lots of stuff, actor, writer, director, photographer, Poet, Patron of the Arts, etc. Everything he does he does by putting his entire soul into his work. He is a perfectionist, he is a good man I will always admire him. He was nice enough to meet and greet his fans at conventions and sign something for them. He would speak to you and really see you, listen to you. He is the kind of Movie Star that is kind and knows his fans had given him the life he has now. So read this book, it is worth the money and his poetry books are written in such a way that he speaks to the common man, not the high and mighty, hottie tottie type people. I found the wisdom of his heart and to write poetry leave you naked to the heart of your being. He bares his soul to us in those books. He is unique and a one of a kind celebrity. Todays celebrities are uppity and don't realize that without people to buy tickets, watch shows, movies, buy their books, go to their concerts or jigs they would be doing a job that gets their hands a lot dirtier and would be paid a lot less.

Leonard has amazing recall of events and present them while addressing the his personal reaction and thoughts in this stunning autobiography. True, he does avoid delving into his family life (for that, get DVD MindMeld) but his amazing story telling skills allows him to walk us through events of his career presenting them in a highly interesting and often amusing delivery. The many 'conversations' between himself and Spock are highly entertaining as well. He provides much personal insights into his legendary career, walking you through his life with remarkably detailed descriptions to place you right there alongside him as he relives them for us. I was completely engrossed and compelled to read this nonstop until completion. Without his his powerful voice, it becomes clear how much of ability to narrate is based in his story telling skills. A HIGHLY REWARDING READ !!

Excellent book am a L Nimoy fan, going back to his man From U.N.C.L.E. episode where he was Vladic in the Project Stigas Affair.

MY HUSBAND IS A REAL STAR TREK FAN! HE ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE BOOK... HE LIKED THE FACT THAT LEONARD NIMOY ACTUALLY BECAME THE CHARACTER OF SPOCK IN REAL LIFE. IT HAS BEEN SUCH A FUN HOBBIE FOR HIM TO COLLECT ALL THINGS RELATING TO THE STAR TREK T.V. SHOWS AND MOVIES.
