I Am by Chrisette Michele (CD, Jun-2007, Def Jam USA)

Love the voice..she is great! Her lyrics are moving and heart-filled. Some of her songs really spoke to some of my current situations.

I appreciated each and every track on this album. The topics were so refreshing because they weren't about the normal things necessarily that most R&B singers sing about. She sings about waiting before sex, marriage, and how even the songs on the radio are more about getting some than about people staying committed to one another. It's very insightful for someone who's just 23 years old. Each song has it's own personality and sound so you're not bored by the time you get to Track 5. She really sings on this record and with songs written by Babyface, she really can't go wrong here.

I decided to buy this CD after I saw the video on VH1 Soul. I liked the way Jazz and Gospel sounds influenced her voice and it was nice and different from what's popular now. I just love this album.

I recently bought her newest CD and really liked it, so I wanted to hear her first one. Not as good as the newest, but good. Great seller. CD was in excellent condition.

I like that this seller sent me a new cd at a great price. There is nothing that I love or dislike about this purchase. I am satisfied.

Beautiful voice. Great songs. Takes you through all stages of a relationship without sounding cliche.

The producers and record company have wasted a good talent, with corny beats, and
tired lyrics. If you have a good instrument use it properly, her voice seems out of place with the sound the producers had prepackaged. She would have been better off doing cover songs of the likes of Roberta Flack. It just sounds force feed. Better luck next time, just find a new producer and maybe a new record label that knows how to use your talents.

This girl's voice is GOLDEN! She IS a voice of the generation with sounds like the female jazz singers of old! I love this CD and highly recommend anyone to buy it!

This is simply one of the best debuts I've heard in quite some time. From the start to the finish, Chrisette's immaculate voice and incredible songwriting makes this an amazing album. Among the standouts are "Your Joy", "I Am One(the bonus cut", "Love Is You", "Golden", and "Best Of Me". With people like Babyface, John Legend, and Salaam Remi helping out on the boards and instruments, this is also a production masterpiece. Let's support this very beautiful woman's project. She's made a huge fan of me.

Michele is an awesome up and coming talented artist. Her cd is awesome. The songs are mature beyond her age. I see her going a long way in this business. The songs are great to listen to over and over again.

I love this CD. It has a great mixture of R&B, Jazz and a little bit of Hip-Hop. If you like these genres of music you will love this CD. Chrisette's sound it just so diverse. Rarely do you find an artist with this much versatility. Looking forward to more music from her.

besides the current radio track i find the rest of the cd to be rather slow and unmoving, her voice could kill devils, but the album as a whole is more jazzy than i prefer, if your a jazz type you might love the whole thing, but i a pop kind of guy and this album left me with one good track and not much more
