Altered Art For The First Time by Madeline Arendt (2005, Hardcover)

I love this book! I use it more for a reference than a project guide. Ms. Arendt has taken a wonderful art form and simplified the terms so that even a novice can begin to create wonderful stuff.

The book can tend to be pricey, so if you can find a copy under 10 bucks, I suggest you snag it!

The author covers technique and form in such a creative and interesting way that the reader will be inspired to create after the very first chapter. In my opinion, this book is definately worth owning.

Great illustrations and instructions for both beginners and others. Great reference book for different types of altering and the materials needed. It's the best book I've found on altered art.
