Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare (Dreamcast, 2001)

Great thiller for the adult gamer!!!!! great Dreamcast graphics, at an affordable price. I would add this game to your collection.

After playing the Xbox 360 demo version of Alone in the Dark I just have to put it on my 'Must get games for the XB360' list. The demo alone convinced me to buy the full game. Yet, did not have a clue that there was an Alone in the Dark version on the previous generations of gaming systems. After finding and watching this game on eBay for about a month or two and reading the reviews of this game on IGN back in 2001 for the Sega Dreamcast, took a chance to buy it with not regrets. Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare will not disappoint.
Its gave RE2 a run for its money. The theme of the game is very similar to RE2, dark, creepy, mysterious,third person shooter. Presentation is very good. Excellent addition to any Dreamcast owner.

Some minor scratches near the beginning of disk one result in a few audio distortions. after a certain point shortly into the game all distortion disappears and it plays fine.

I love this game. Anyone that enjoys Resident Evil should buy it if you can get your hands on it. It is better than Carrier for the Dreamcast. There are a lot of creepy moments in this game but the enemies are kind of lame. Stupid zombies and plant life are some of the baddies you'll find throughout, which to me are uninspired. Other than that, while waiting on the next installment of Resident Evil to come out, you can't go wrong with Alone in the Dark. Get it now!

Ordered a Dreamcast version of the game, but received a PC version instead. Reviewed the auction and saw that there were both platforms listed in the listing. It was my fault for not clarifying before I purchased the item. If you have questions about games, just ask the seller prior to purchase. I have not asked for a replacement because I will just play the game on my PC which is still great for me, but I am sure the seller would gladly trade it if they had the product. Item came quickly and securely. Happy with this seller!

Not for the weak person to play, rated M on purpose, I like it. On of the best Dreamcast Games Released in 2 year of Dreamcast Life. Great Classic.
