Alligator Purse [Digipak] by Beausoleil (CD, Jan-2009, Yep Roc Records)

One of the things I liked most about living in the New Orleans area for five years was the music. The food, the ambiance, the shopping and the weather (yes even the humidity) are also part of my happy memories. The "pahdnas" from Lafayette do a wonderful job on this CD. They are regional favorites for good reason! Listening to this CD brings back memories of all the colors, flavors and cultures which make southern Louisiana one of the most diverse and interesting places in the USA. It is such a pleasure to have that music playing in the background of your day...just as it does as one strolls through the French Quarter, making your steps just a little lighter.
