All Time Greatest Hits by Lynyrd Skynyrd (CD, Mar-2000, MCA Records USA)

Wow, time really treats some subjects kindly. I always enjoyed Skynard on the radio but never sought them out on record. At the time, I was probably into the rock and funk fusion of the day such as Santana, Tower of Power as well as Steely Dan and all the other eclectic choices the early Seventies offered.

After recently viewing a documentary on Southern Rock, I realized how many great songs LS had and had to have this in my collection. Plus, there is probably no finer guitar playing than Ed King's on the classic Sweet Home Alabama.

The lyrics are excellent, too.

Even if you only like Skynyrd a little bit, you should own this one. I bought this for my 13 yr old son, but I may be borrowing it a lot.

If you have ever heard Lynyrd Skynyrd then you know why they're one of the greatest Southern rock bands.

Lynard is always great music- my son plays guitar so it is fun to introduce him to the greats. He is learning quickly that all the good guitar music came from the 70's and 80's. Rock on!!

What can I say! Classic Southern Rock at its finest. Excellent job with the remastering, fat, clean just will kick your a**! You can't go wrong with this one.

We bought this CD for a gift for someone because we have the CD and love it! It has all Lynyrd Skynyrd's best songs on it.

I love listening to skynard.I went to see them in concert twice but I didn't have a cd of them so that's why I decided to buy it.It was used and the price wasn't to bad.

Music that I grew up on, to hear it again was like being 15 all over again, not to mention that I play guitar and would like to recreate what these artist have already done. Awesome, awesome!

It's pure nostalgia, I had the album on tape, but it didn't last forever, and it was played too much, so it was only rags left. So you see I just have to have that album again, now on cd of course. I really have missed it!

I'm a huge Skynyrd fan, so of course I'm biased, but this is a really great album. If you're just getting into the band, it's a great starter album, it has a really good kind of sampling of their stuff. If you're a long time fan, you still can't go wrong.

This is an aswome cd, I strongley advise you to buy it, if your looking for a Lynrd Skynrd greatest hits cd. Lynrd Skynrd's sound is diffenent from anything else ever made. I would suggest that you a couple of short samples online if you are not familiar with their style. Since ebay does not have a genre that fits them very well. If you liked what you've heard from them, then you'll love this cd.
