All About - All About Fire Engines/All About Construction (DVD, 2005)

I thought this movie would be fun- my boys love fire engines and construction vehicles. But it shows very little of the vehicles in action- mostly the characters are wandering around a construction site or a firehouse. Too much dialogue, not enough action!

Bought this DVD for my 2 year old that loves to watch firetrucks and construction vehicles. It was very boring and had very little video of the fire trucks and lots of voice over type instructional views.

I Purchased this DVD based on other reviews that indicated their 2-3 year old sons loved seeing the trucks and fire engines. My 2 1/2 year old that practically jumps out of the car when we see a "big truck" or fire engine found this DVD very boring. He watched the first 30 seconds and then wanted nothing to do with it. I think this is for an older child that has a specific interest in fire engines.

Dissapointing. Although informative, the firefighters acting in the documentary type film could have explained with more expression what they were doing. It just wasn't excing and infact quite boring. My 5 year old lost interest throughout this DVD and I bought it because he is usually obsessed firefighting and firefighters.

It was a good price and my nephew LOVES Hard Hat Harry! However, as other reviews have stated, there was too much talking and not enough action.

I bought this dvd for my 18 month old who LOVES anything with wheels, but this is more appropriate for older children. There's a lot of explaining about the uses of the equipment & not enough action. It's a good dvd, just not for a child his age.

We actually owned each of these movies on VHS. My boys LOVE these movies, and I love that I now own 2 VHS titles on one slim DVD!!

It says 2005 but the video was done in the late 80s or early 90s. But, here is the thing: my son loves it!

My 2 1/2 year-old son loves this video. He enjoys both sections very much. The dialogue is indeed aimed at a more mature audience, but he enjoys it and watches it frequently.

Hard Hat Harry is corny but appeals to the young kids. We purchased the 1st version @ Walmart and this was a replacement dvd. My kid likes the music that is set to the videos and it is informative too. I think we own 2-3 of the Hard Hat Harry series (All About...) It's a cheap priced video. My kid likes it. Parents will live through it and it's humor.

The kids liked it okay. It is outdated and doesn't show as much of the firetrucks or actual firefighting as they would have liked.

Why I purchased it tought it was about sept. 911 other is I hate it is not closed captured at all for deaf.. We are going to have to rember 911 some day soon anyway need be on closed captured for deaf too..

Not a bad video but we bought it mainly for the firefighter section and when we recieved it it was 26 minutes of firefighters and 60 minutes of construction. My son was a bit disappointed in that. But he does like the fireman section alot.

my kids are 2 and are surprisingly into this dvd (I say surprisingly b/c it is pretty detailed about all aspects of a fire station). I would think they'd be more into it at a later age but they do enjoy it.

This one was entertaining for him but didn't hold a candle to the farm issue. We found this one a bit "baby-ish" with the talking machines and what not. The fire truck part was pretty informative.

My son is 3 1/2 and loves this DVD. I bought this originally because he likes fire trucks. I did not realize that it had construction trucks in it as well. He was so excited to get it and has watched it over and over!! It has great information in it for kids from the fireman about what to do incase of an emergency and what a firefighter looks like and sounds like in there full gear. I think this is a great purchase for any child that would be entertained by the fire trucks and construction vehicles and it is educational as well!!
