I have never bought a dog grooming book so I can not compare it with other books. the reason I purchased it was to learn how to groom my schnauzers and toy poodles to help with grooming cost,also,it was a good price for the book compared to the other books at a higher price, very affordable book and is worth every dollar spent.. it helped me alot it telling me how to groom each breed,I liked the book alot. it showed me the items in which to have to do this job also, and I loved the different ways to groom a poodle, they was nothing so far that, I disliked about this book, I think it is a great book for beginners to use, I would recommend this book.

The book has very good basic knowledge of grooming many of the dog breeds. The illustrations can become a little confusing at times especially on the more complicated dogs. Some information seems to be a little dated but overall I like the book and it has helped me.

All 87 Breeds a Complete GuideThis a very good book for the novice very easy to understand. I decided to buy it because I want to groom my pomeranian my self and needed a reference book and this is going to do thew job. I will keep it by my side while I learn about my dogs needs.
