I love this book, it's a true story. I read this when I was younger and couldn't believe the things these guys went through in the mountains...
I always wanted to buy this book just for the simple reason that I wanted it to add it to my collection.
I recommend this book to anyone with good morals and who loves true stories about the hardship of mankind and how they change the world.

The condition was what the seller specified and had even informed me when the book cover ripped. Great buy, even if the book was from the 1970s.

) I purchased this book because the movie "Alive" interested me very much. I wanted to read about it to get more details and read about the ENTIRE story, not just what could be shoved into an hour and a half on a video. I was a little disappointed, however, because there were not many pictures in it, and it was not the same "Alive" book I had been told about in the past. (I guess there is more than one book).All in all though, the book is well written and informative, and even though it was written in 1974, it is quite interesting.
