Alive (DVD, 2002)

The real question when you watch the film is could you do the same??? Eat you dead friends to survive??? Are People White Meat or Dark Meat, Red or White Wine?

The true-life adventure of a Uruguayan team of rugby players who survive a plane crash in the desolate Andes Mountains in 1972. For 10 weeks they struggled against impossible odds and freezing temperatures to stay alive.

I am a big fan of disaster movies to include plane crashes. This one is based on true events about a Rugby Team and members of their families where the plane they are on crashes in the mountains! This one is famous in that it made many ponder whether they would eat the deceased in any situation necessary to survive as they did in this movie! The Movie was Excellent, the Book was impossible!!

I remember the jokes and bumper stickers that went around about this incident and I always wanted to find out more about what really happened. When I saw the movie I was amazed by the faith and belief in themselves that the young men had throughout their ordeal. This reenactment is quite good. I recommend it highly.

really good movie to watch and reflect about life. it give us a chance to think about that situation in a real life situation. Put us to weight whats priority and whats so important than we cant give up when we are in really need.

i loved this movie because of the outdoor footage. it is sad tho because you know it is true. these people really went thru this event. the cast was great.

This is a powerful film. It is not the best acted, but the story overcomes the weaker side. I have seen it more than one time, and since I use it in my class, decided to purchase a copy. It is used to demonstrate and discuss Maslow's hierarchy of needs from basic needs to self-actualization.

I love that movie and what is there not to like, when it is true to life. It makes you think and wonder sometimes when you travel, you know. Very scary, really.

I loved the dvd. I watched it all in one setting which is unlike me. I ususally takes me a few days to get through a movie. Very good movie. I decided to buy it because I watched it as a child and couldn"t remember the details of the movie just that I watched it. And I wanted to watch it again so I bought at fair price and brand new. Wonderful! Thank you!

This movie is just fantastic from beginning to end. To watch what these poor people had to go through is horrible. Classic movie, Classic story, you don't get any better.

Service was very fast. It saved me alot of time without having to look around for hours on end. I was very impresses with how quick they responded and I was able to get my payment in very quickly. Now I am just waiting to receive my movie which I'm sure won't be a problem.

took to long, but it came. That's what really counts, the fact that it came. But I would not make another perches from this person, to much of a risk that it might take the same amount of time, or not come at all. Also I might add that it was not in that great of condition, so that is no good. All in all, this transaction could have been better than it was.
