Alice in Wonderland (DVD, 2006)

This movie is an absolute delight. Natalie Gregory delivers an astounding performance as Alice for both parts of the movie. She's loveable, darling, and believeable.

I love this movie for a ridiculous number of reasons, Natalie Gregory being one of many. The costuming and scenery rivals that of modern movies - a truly magnificent accomplishment, considering that it was done in 1985. An all-star cast includes Ringo Starr, Carol Channing, Sally Struthers, Ann Jillian, John Stamos, Shelley Winters, Beau Bridges, and Sammy Davis Jr., just to name a few, all playing outstanding roles that I guarantee you have never seen them play before.

The excellent portrayal of Lewis Carroll's fun and whimsical tale makes this movie appropriate for fantasy-goers of all ages. All around, it's just a bunch of good, clean fun and a classic chidren's tale that will delight much more than children.

This was a movie i hadnt seen since it came to TV as a mini series in 1985. Its also a movie that i have remembered since. The acting is great and the story keeps you interested. The many people in this movie make it worth paying any price for. My kids aged 15,12 and 8 loved it as well. I would have to say that the really bad thing about this movie is the fact that some of the greatest actors in our generation are in it and are now not with us but remind s of their greateness. The great Iogene Coca and Sammi Davis Jr., Shelly Winters, Telly Savales and of course Red Buttons. And the great ones that are still with us like Arte Johnson and Ernest Borgnine. This is a very unforgetable movie that you will love to see over and over again. I would warn you if you have little kids there are a few parts in it that may scare them there is a large evil dragon character called the Jaberwoky that is rather scary for small kids or any that are easily frightened. It doesnt last long only a few times in each episode of which there are two. The Jaberwoky should not change your mind about watching this version of "Alice In Wonderland" It is one of the best that I believe follows the book much more than any other i have ever seen. I would recomend this movie for people who love to be entertained by real actors and remember what it was like to be young.

It was good, but not one of the best Alice In Wonderlands I have seen. got this when my girls told me they had never seen it. Talk about making me feel old.
I feel the Walt disney animated version is the best. I will be hunting that one down.

I used to watch this on video when I was younger over and over again. I was just happy to find this.

Originally a made for televison movie, in 1985. An outstanding cast for its time. If your older, you will like it for that reason! If you're younger, you will like it for all the wild charactors. Very wild sets, in the style of "The Wizard of Oz". Something more like a theatrical broadway musical. With a tint of "Shirly Temple" Based on two books, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

I loved this movie growing up. Brought back memories!!! The movie is very fast paced. Recommend to all. the effects are not the greatest, but the effect are still interesting.

i was born in 1985 and my mom recorded it on vhs and i must have seen it like a million times, and i guess i was feeling nostalgic about watching it, its a really good movie and quite funny a total classic, highly recommended

The movie it not turn out good enough for a person as old as I am, bought by accident, would be a great movie for young children though. I reccommend it for children under the age of 12.

I bought this for myself and my grandaughter to watch. We loved it.It came in a timely manner. It was just waht I wanted.

I used to sit there and remember vague details about this movie and it used to drive me crazy. But now I was able to watch them in vivid detail and remember things that I had totally forgot. Its such a blast from the past. You'll love it. Every song, every outfit, and every 'quest'. Great for kids, teenagers, and adults alike. A great family fun movie!

I love this rendition of Alice in Wonderland. Remembered watching all the time when I was a child! Looked on ebay and was so excited to find it on DVD! My three children loved it and we watched it for a week straight. They love the songs and costumes. So nice to share something from my childhood that I cherished and thought I had lost!

I loved it!! What more can you say? I bought this dvd, because I remeber it as one of my favorite movies as a child. It is an older movie so graphics and quality aren't as great as those today. So I'm not sure todays generation will appreciate the story as much as I did. However I enjoyed watching it today, as much as I did many years ago. It was great to be able to watch again and I'm so glad it made it to dvd. If you watched it as a child, I'm sure you'll agree with me in saying its a great movie. Not only entertaining, but funny as well!

This is the type of movie that can be handed down.This is a great movie!I taped it on VHS in 1985 for my baby daughter. She watched it over and over again.The tape wore out!! This was one of my all time favorite productions from when I was a child. I wanted to share this with with my children and was so excited when I found it on DVD. This DVD was excellent quality, the sound and color were perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better family night. I highly recommend it to all Alice in Wonderland fans.
