Alice in Wonderland (DVD, 2000, Gold Collection Edition)

I loved this story when I was little. Especially the real movie version. This disney version isn't quite as excellent but I can see that little kids would love the silly characters. My one year old son loves it!

This is a wonderfully well done childrens classic, HOWEVER, due to the intentional adult content that was added by it's author Lewis Carol I would sugest not showing it to very young children. The disney version of this movie witch we're talking about cuts out much of the contriversial content and makes what would otherwise be an LSD tripout into a plausible, fun loving childrens musical... This movie is great fun to watch.

I love this movie and can't wait for my grandson to see it. This is a classic movie and I was so glad to get it at this price. Thanks again

I bought the DVD for my granddaughter to watch. (She's only five) I was taking her to the play "Alice in Wonderland" and wanted her to know a little about the story. This movie wasn't for sale anywhere so looked on Ebay and found an excellent copy. That is my reason for purchasing the movie.

Alice in Wonderland DVD is in fairly good condition. It stops right at the beginning and at one other time through. But I knew with buying a used DVD, it wouldn't be perfect. I am satisfied. Mostly runs very smooth.

I was really excited to get my hands on this DVD, since it's out of print, and no retailers carry it! Upon removing the envelope from the mail, I got a sense of sadness, as I could hear the disk rattling around inside of the case freely. I opened the case and there are LOTS of scratches on the surface of the disk from it's battered travels. :(

All of that aside, I played the disk in my DVD player and it works just fine! No skipping or jittery frames... The color and quality, along with sound, are GREAT! It comes with the commemorative sleeve in the DVD case, so I'm happy to see it's not a bad Kinko's printout stuffed in with a Chinese knock-off video copy. I wish there were a safety device in the case to keep it from hopping off the spindle and damaging the disk, since I paid a decent amount for it. But I guess I can't have it all. The shipping issue is the only negative thing I have to say. The seller was easy to deal with and the disk shipped promptly after the purchase.

At least I can now enjoy one of my favorite classic flicks with my daughter now :)

It is a classic movie and not widely available. To own a copy is a treat. I am having a 'mad tea party' for my daughter's 1st birthday.

This is one of the Great Disney Classics. Alice has a daydream about chasing a white rabbit into a different world and all the mischief she can get into. I loved it as a child and now my daughter loves watching the movie over and over again. Makes a great gift for little girls and boys.

My 3 year old LOVES this movie. Her VHS was watched so many times that it finally bit the dust so I had to re-purchase it on DVD. This is a great classic that I remember watching as a child as well. A nice addition to your collection.

altough I recieved "alice in wonderland"without a case it was still in great condition,I love this movie,thanx!!

I bought this movie as it was a second chance offer and seemed reasonable. The listing stated it was a new movie however it does not play correctly and does not appear to be an original. However as my daughter is 2 years old I bought the movie for only 10 bucks and if she damages it any worse then it really would not matter. Later I can buy her the original.

love it, love it, love it!!!!!! was a favorite as a child, a favorite of my children and now...the grandchildren. Excellent condition and received in a timely fashion.

I would love to review this product... but due to Ebay's laxity in enforcing their own regulations, I never recieved the product and can't do much about it because I sent a money order.

I bought it b/c it was one of my "childhood" favorites! I still think it is a really good movie, the only bad part is that since I'm older now, I'm just not able to enjoy it as much as I did when I was a child! =(

This film is a childhood favorite of mine, and I believe the story is as classic and timeless as any favorite fairytale. Lewis Carrol is a brilliant writer who has given the world many great stories. The adventures of Alice in Wonderland are some of his best works! The stories have inspired countless songs, movies, and works of art. Truly, Disney's animated Alice in Wonderland is one of the most memorable works inspired by Carrol's story.

I did not like this DVD it was a cheap import,I asked before bidding was this a import or copy,the seller said no but guess I won a imported DVD, the seller won't not answer my e-mail and is no longer listed with e-bay.

I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. I like it b/c it's what she wanted and I paid a fair price for it.

Excellent classical movie for all ages. It's funny and imaginative. Younger kids (< 8 y.o.) may not have the attention span for movie run time is 75 min. I bought the movie to replace the VHS.
