Alice: TV Favorites (DVD, 2006)

"Early To Bed, Early To Rise.....There's a new girl in town!" Don't you know it. I Love this show! This fresh freckle face Alice provided years of laughter from 1976 to 1985! Alice Hyatt, ended up slinging has in a Phoenix Diner! But lucky for us that she did because the comedy in this half dozen comedy will keep you rolling and you will treasure this collection. I can't wait for more releases. You won't be disappointed! Plus there is only one FLORENCE JEAN CASTLEBERRY: "KISS MY GRITS!" :)

IT'S VERY FUNNY. A VERY GOOD FAMILY SHOW. I'M NOT ASHAMED TO WATCH THIS SHOW WITH A MIXED GROUP OF PEOPLE. THE SHOW IS VERY WHOLESOME. I MOSTLY BUY DVD'S THAT I KNOW I'LL WATCH OVER AND OVER. ALICE IS A SHOW I WILL WATCH A LOT. JEAN

I recently purchased the "Alice" DVD, which loosely based on the 1974 feature film drama, "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore".

This was a collection of six classic episodes and was purchased for an amazingly low price of $5.00 (not including shipping, which was only a few dollars more).

As soon as I played the DVD, I was immediately taken back to the good old days of my youth (pre-job, taxes, failed relationships, etc.) with the theme tune. Don't ask me why I love it - I just do - "Early to rise, early to bed.
In and between I cooked and cleaned and went out of my head..."

Am I the only black guy that I know of who loved this show? For sure. Do I risk being subject to verbal abuse from certain friends for my "off-the-wall" purchase? Possibly. Can those who have a problem with it "Kiss My Grits"? Absolutely.

But it matters very little. This was an amazing find at an amazing price and it makes me smile. I've tried not to - but I can't resist. I heart Linda Lavin... and "Flo"... and Vera... and Mel - well, you get what I mean.

I really liked the showed when it was aired on television so I decided to try the boxset seasons. The only problem is that they jumped too much throughout all the seasons that Alice was aired. They started Tommy out as a teenager when he was really younger than that when they first aired. Then they randomly picked which shows to put in this boxset. I feel they should have made it the actual season 1.

My dad Loves these older shows and watches them all the time.
And Alice is one of them.
Over all we all Loved the Cast of Alice.
You could relate to them.

I love the alice dvd that I received from ebay.I got it at a great price and the shipping was not a fortune. I got it fast also.One of my favorite shows is Alice and I have never seen it in stores. I was so happy to find it on ebay.I found a lot of things on ebay that are hard to find items.So on this product I have only good things to say about it.

Excellent. I love this show its funny. Classic comedy. Alice and the crew are perfect. Perfect show if you just want to laugh.

This was one of my favorite shows from the 80's and a great cast to boot! The simple stories of simple people who get caught in complex problems beats a lot of TV comedies today. I most identify with the diner's owner Mel who is a professional neer-do-well, but means well. Alice, is subtly sexy & smart. Please don't forget to "kiss my grits" when enjoying this great TV series!

i have watched this quite a few times. i loved this show when it was on tv. so i have been trying to find it for years, and finally came acrossed it. later on i will probably buy another episode of alice.

I use to watch this tv show when I was young. I seen it in the stores and I remembered things when I was young ans it brought back memories and I decided that I had to have it. Show are not made like that today, but life was so simple in that show.

I really like this product it was in excellent shape and received it fast. I grew up watching these kinds of shows and since there is little on TV I watch this was a great way to recapture some of the nostalgia from my youth and still see something that was wholesome and not full of violence and smut. It is a good family show. Ebay is a good way to find hard to find items and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommended it.

Alice was a show that you didn't want to miss one episode. I really liked the 3
main characters in it and if i had to choose (1), it would be Flo. She had one
of the most hilarious lines: MEL, kiss my grits. Like in any good comedy show, there's one line that really sticks out. In Alice-that one was it.You'll love this
addition to your DVD library of shows.

It is a good series that had memorable characters. It came up with one of the most widely used catch phrases of the timess "Kiss my grits". It survived several character changes once Flo left.

I LOVE this item! I watched this show when I was a kid and wanted to go back to my childhood. It was a great price and a smooth transaction. It was shipped to me in a resonable time period and I have no complaints! Item was new and in perfect condition. I would buy from this seller again anytime!

It was a new DVD, and TV does not run these reruns, and I just loved this show growing up.I t was a good price also, I took it to work and play it for others because we have movie time, and others really enjoy the show also , it brings back the good old days.

I enjoyed the Alice DVD that I purchased. I haven't seen that show in years and it was nice being able to watch it again. That was my favorite show while growing up.

I have always been a fan of Alice. I would buy the whole season if I could find it. I can remember when it was in sydication. I loved it then and I still love it. Flo is soo hilarious. I could just watch it over and over again.
