Ham and Bacon get CURED!

This book is a complete waste of time and is replete with inaccurate, inappropriate and deceptive information. The author seems to believe he is the only one with the "answer". Sadly, his desire to make money will, in the end cost many people and their families thousands of dollars for little benefit. After reading this book I sent the following to the author:
"I have just finished reading the book, "The Alcoholism and Addiction Cure". As someone who is the adult child of an alcoholic, an Al-Anon, an Alcoholic and an Addict who has been sober and has had the gift of sobriety for a few 24 hours and worked in the field as an Addictions and Family Counselor for over a decade plus, I must say I was surprised. Perhaps, better said, offended and appalled. It must be wonderful to know everything and believe you are always right. Your word "dependency" is what many of us say is "addictive personality disorder". That is a more accurate descriptor of the malady at hand. Your words about AA, that has helped millions for 75 years are truly unconscionable. NO ONE, EVER has to say they are and alcoholic or addict. YOU ARE WRONG! Gee, I guess a program that really works scares a "god" like yourself. Your book is dangerous and I am afraid will kill many people and more importantly hurt many families. I am glad you have had successes, because the 12 Step approach may not work for everyone. However, ham and bacon get cured, sofas and chairs get recovered. Those of us with REAL SOBRIETY know it is only a daily reprieve based upon OUR spiritual condition. We cannot do it alone. God Bless those who think they can. By the way relapse is inevitable and it has nothing to do with using substance, it has everything to do with stinking thinking and using old behaviors.
You can rest assured that though I am retired. I still help others on a daily basis, and I will never refer anyone to your tratment center. I want people to experience the gift of sobriety, the serenity and peace of recovery and the promise of life without using. I do not wish to lie to anyone and say there is a cure. Also, you "facts" are ridiculous. You need to review what the percentages for BAL really mean. Unfortunately, you are teaching the wrong information, imagine that. Oh, I forgot, you know everything. The average medical doctor gets 3 clock hours of education on alcoholism, if that. To expect them to know anything is being in total denial. Oh, I forgot, you are cured of that. I am so glad that Oprah or someone else has not fallen for your selfish, self serving, sacrimonious beliefs. Hell, I am sorry I bought the book, I should have just went to the library. I will pray for you and your son, that you may both find and enjoy the reality of sobriety, rather than your illusion of it."
