Caution this TV runs extremely hot. You will not need to heat the room its in. I find myself only watching TV for short periods because of the heat. The thing I love about this tv is the picture quality it has some of the sharpest images on the antenna and huge image crisp on component cables. The sound I have found to be one of the best things I actually disconnected my surround sound and let the tv have the sub connected directly to it. I have a denon surround system that I now use for music because the depth of the tv speakers are awesome. There are a few downsides to the tv when playing a video game on it you will see some pixelations and the out of box color needs some fine tuning. The menu is pretty straight forward when adjusting the tv however its a pain if you are not familiar with the menu and look away for a split second then the menu disappears and you have to start over. This tv replaced a Panasonic 50 LCD DLP and so far has made me not miss the old tv hopefully this will remain in years to come. If you are looking for a solid tv you cant go wrong with the Akai however remember if you need support there is much to be desired because the support and customer service sucks beyond anything out there except it still beats Samsung and Panasonic's support.
