I decided to buy the book "Airstream" by David Hunt because of our purchase of a new Airstream, Safari camper. I wanted to know the history of this great American camper now in production for 75 years. I enjoyed reading it, it goes into great detail about the man that designed and built the first one in 1936 and all the changes and improvements over the years.

This is a great book for vintage Airstream Lovers, like myself. The cover picture alone is really fabulous! Shows a a beautifully, period dressed young lady, applying lipstick in the reflection of a shiny Airstream Land yacht, being towed by a classic 1958 Cadilac! And that's just the cover photo!!!

To know about the creation and creator of THE great American recreational masterpiece of then,now and in the future of "Camping".whether owning a 1950's version or the most newest they all have the same things in common,sleek, areodynamic,aluminum and the most important thing of all a really nice place to eat,sleep,shower,shave and go potty (as my kids say),NOT watch t.v. haul dirt bikes have flate screen tv's all over the place with a satellite hooked up so your kids can watch cartoons and your wife can watch some cooking show.THE Airstream is made for hiking,camp fires,talking with your family,stories,smores,ghost stories,convincing your children the ghost stories are not true,we all climb into saftey of the Airstream.

A great look at the start of an American icon. Loads of old photos. I purchased it because I have my first Airstream trailer and now know why people who own them are so taken with the form and function and also quality of this travel trailer. Very cool!
