Airplane! (DVD, 2005, "Don't Call Me Shirley" Edition/ Widescreen)

For those of us who adore sick humor ("Shirley you understand that!"), this movie is a collector's dream. The first time my husband and I saw this in the theatre, we were with friends. My husband was laughing so much that my girlfriend doesn't remember the movie! She was too busy watching my husband laughing! I am thrilled to actually OWN it now, so anytime I need a good laugh, this movie will come out!

Airplane! is still the best comedy film ever made, even after all these years. It has it all: slapstick, puns, sight gags, big stars, easy-to-follow plot. What more could anyone ask for? No other movie has been quoted more times ("...and don't call me Shirley"). The writing is as crisp and sharp as it was in 1980, when the movie first came out. This is an important addition to any DVD library. Buy it and watch it again and again. I did!

If you can watch this movie and not laugh then there is something wrong with you. From punching out monks to inflatible auto pilots, this movie covers everything. Buy it. It will be the most importian thing you'll ever buy! (also look at Airplane 2)

Airplane! - One of the best slapstick comedies around. Pretty good story and so many funny scenes and quotable lines. One question ... "Do you like gladiators?"

In my opinion this is the funniest movie on the planet. the jokes are relentless. If you love slapstick humor you absolutely need to buy this movie.

This laugh a minute film was bought for a Christmas gift as laughter is the best medicine. The younger generation doesn't even remember Airport, the Hollywood hit of the '70's but that doesn't matter with this parody on such a serious matter as a plane hijacking.
Leslie Nielsen is such a goofy guy in such an innocent way. He seems so dumb and is oblivious to his own stupidity. This movie helps to take off his career into other sensations, which include Airplane 2 and the Naked Gun One and Two. Teach your teens what oldie but goodie is with this classic.

THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

Great humor that you can't find anymore. Priceless!! It is well put together with a great cast. I would highly recomend it to anyone. If you are easily offended though, you may not like it, nothing is sacrid in this movie.

I WOULD HAVE INCLUDED " THE NAKED GUN " SERIES OF MOVIES , WHICH ARE ALSO GREAT.

I love this movie because it is a goofy, slapstick comedy that can be viewed over and over again and find something new each time. I saw it a long time ago and just never bought it until now.

THIS MOVIE WAS FUNNY AND ENJOYABLE IN MANY WAYS BUT I COULD NOT RECOMMEND IT. AS IN SO MANY MOVIES TODAY, SEXUAL CONTENT OR LANGUAGE RUINS WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A DECENT MOVIE. I FOUND IT DISAPPOINTING FOR THIS REASON.

Airplane is one of the funniest movies ever. Pure slapstick at it's best. The spoken and unspoken puns are extreme. One of the few movies I could watch over and over again.

If you are old enough to have experienced the cast in prior serious rolls then you will love the completely out of character performance in this movie. Airplane is the undefeated heavyweight champ of comedy spoofs. See Robert Stack and LLoyd Bridges and all the cast do some of the best comedy ever. I cant tell you how many times I have watched this movie and I laugh my %$# off every time. Treat yourself to this treasure.

Airplane! (DVD, 2005, "Don't Call Me Shirley" Edition/ Widescreen) is one of the funnest movies I've seen in a while. There was not a dull moment in the whole movie. The Cast was outstading and I am so glad I bid on and won this Dvd.

Without ever receiving the movie I ordered...I also never received a response to any of my e-mails to the seller. So needless to say, I am now a few dollars and a movie short !!!

The movie is in great condition. The disc has no scratches and the cover looks great too. It's a great movie for a great price! It was sent to me in a timely fashion and I had no problems at all with the purchase.

I decided on buying this movie because I was told it was hilarious. After watching the movie I totally disagree. This movie is HORRIBLE and only funny for the first 16 minutes after that it's nothing but corniness.
