good cd, seen em live with tallica, had to give em another listen to. Reminds me of back in the day when I grew up to Black Sabbath.

  Return of real metal

This C.D. is a return to all that is good about metal.Melodic and intense without the screeming angry hate of modern metal.

  Sword: Age Of Winters
Review created: 04/02/08

This album is some good sounding music from a new band that seems to think allot about druids and the ways of magic and might, I think I like the sound and the names of the songs and the lyrics are pretty complicated piece. The band in new and the members are unknown to me, but I would like to hear more about them soon enough.

  Age Of Winters - Sword
Review created: 05/07/07

The Sword is by far one of my favorite metal bands. The most impressive songs on the album are Winter's Wolves and Lament For The Aurochs, which are incredibly well done. The thing I love about them is that they can perform an almost vintage/retro style of metal but still sound fresh and exciting. Every song is a well planned epic that most definetly deserves a spot in your CD player. If your into bands like Sabbath, Zeppelin, Wolfmother, etc. then you will surely love this band.

  A Solid Release
Review created: 02/05/07

While not exactly what I was expecting, or looking for, I still enjoy this album.
I am still getting used to the album. I would recommend this for anyone who likes Black Sabbath's earlier material, Led Zeppelin, and even High On Fire.
The vocals are what threw me off. Not bad at all. Just not what I thought they would sound like.
This is still a solid, enjoyable album.

  imitation as flattery
Review created: 12/06/06

This sounds so much like Sabbath it almost crosses the line of flattery into pure, unadulterated piracy, but not quite. It's a very good, updated musical imitation with unique lyrics and heart-felt vocals (religious-zealot like may be a better description). Anyway, it's a great album that's a lot like a great movie- you may have heard something similar to this before presented in a similar way, but it's new enough that a little imagination will help you enjoy it for what it is- entertaining.
