Baby boomers, like me, are out in force and more and more books of self help are being thrown at us left and right about what to expect from midlife. I had heard Ms. Williamson's book and CD were special and different in the way she addresses issues so I bought a copy. I am impressed! You will learn that a need to change as we age is neither a male nor female phenomenon, but it is a time in life when a part of ourselves die to make way for a rebirth. Ms. Williamson psychologically and spiritually reframes this transition. Our power to change our lives lies in our ability to rethink them. Middle age does not need to be seen as a turning point toward death. It is viewed as a turning point toward life as we have never known it before. The book and tape will help us embrace an imagination that doesn't flow from ancient assumptions handed down to us, but flowers into new images of a life just getting started. The CD has some great meditations that help guide you through this exciting journey. Highly recommend!

  Middle Age made wonderful

I first got the book on CD from the library, and listened to it several times. I got the print copy so I could refer back to specific passages. Marianne Williamson gives a new perspective to the aging process, and acceptance is the answer. Revel in the joy of the process of aging. I'm not ready for the alternative!!

For everyone who is struggling with mid-life

This is an awe inspiring book - that came to me just at the right time. I was searching for answers without even consiously knowing.... I first listened to the audio book and knew I needed to buy a hard copy to refer to. While searching for the book I discovered that Marianne Williamson would be speaking that Sunday in Scotsdale - I bought tickets and my husband and I both went. I highly recommend this book for both men and women alike - although it seems that women are more ready to look at the issues that face us as we reach "mid-life". It has truly changed the way I look at my past/present and future. I can actually sleep at night - without the nagging voice of regrets, should haves, would haves, could haves - I have figured out the way to process all of the built up emotional baggage that I have accumulated though out my life. Thanks to Marianne Williamson. Excellent read! Enjoy!
