Age of Empires III (Gold Edition) (PC Games, 2007)

Age of Empires III gives players the opportunity to pick up where Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings left off, placing them in the time period of roughly 1500-1850. As players work to establish their empire, they will take on the role of a European power struggling to explore, colonize and conquer North and South America. In addition, players will also have the chance to engage in epic warfare in the Americas with Age of Empires III: The WarChiefs, where they will lead proud, playable native civilizations to expand their empire and fight for control of the Americas.

I like this game, however the zoom out feature should let you zoom out more. but overall its a really good game, i would give it a 9 on a scale 1-10

Great Game Play, but lots of learning as opposed to AOE I and AOE II
I bought it because I had and really enjoyed AOE I and II. But III is a bigger program and requires a lot more learning to play.

My son wanted this for Christmas, He loves it the seller was great I got it just in time on xmas eve

This game is definitely totally different from any Age of Empires you have played before. With so much more depth and finally focus on a strong multiplayer online community - it is a much different feel than anything else you played. With actually having Clan tabs, a personalized Deck, your own City, and so much more focus upon building up your strategy and personal civilization - the game has finally ditched it's old ranking system and unfair playing field. I strongly recommend trying this game out so you can see what I'm talking about. If you've played any "Age of" game before, expect a different feel - but definitely know that you'll be in for a treat!

My eleven year old is playing game. Likes the fast pace for her and easy to use and understand. She plays as long as we will let her. I think some others might be better for adults or older kids.

Best strategy game for me after age of empires 2 , Be notice The war chiefs add on got almost no players on multiplayer , therefore if you want to play with the add ons you better have The asian Dysnasties and the war chiefs together , Or you can just buy Age of empires 3 with no expansion pack which has the most player online .

After a year or two playing with my friends Age of Empires II online, I decided to give this new one a try. Clearly it was the best decition I could have taken. Graphics are the best, houses collapse and turn into fire, characters have real movements not like those in AOE II that moved like robots and I can outline a hundred more if I wanted to but that'll make my review boring hehe. As regards the cons, the only issue I've found is that commands and camera views are quite different from those of AOE II but nothing that good gamer can't handle. All in all, it's worth the purchase! At least for me.

This is an amazing game by Microsoft. The gameplay is smooth and will run on most machines ranging from my school laptop with a crap graphics card to an extremely good gaming rig.
-Beautiful visuals.
-The AI is fairly tricky in this game, especially when the difficulty is increased.
-The expansion packs are really good, and definitely worth the money
-The online and LAN play is a lot of fun.
-A perfect balance of combat and city-building strategy go into this game.

Fun game, however, I believe that the Age of Empires II was put together somewhat better. Overall an enjoyable game.

Can't seem to get the game to install on the computer. Maybe it is just me but I have been to every self help blog on the net and they all say the same thing. "Can't install". I will keep trying.

Graphics are poor. Battle scenes invoving cannons and ships cause system lock up, even on my brand new lap top. One would expect beete inteface with the Windows from a game made by Microsoft!
