After Dark Horrorfest: 7 Films To Die For Giftset (DVD, 2007)

These movies are fantastic! They are well acted, beautifully filmed and well produced. There are actual STORIES involved - not just frame after frame of meaningless bloodletting. My husband and I really enjoyed watching these films, and we hope that the Halloween Horrorfest becomes an annual event, so that we can look forward to more of the same. I recommend this DVD set to anyone that enjoys horror movies - these films are exceptionally well done!

I WAS GOING TO BUY THIS SET BUT THOUGHT I HAD BETTER RENT THEM FIRST TO SEE IF THEY WERE WORTH BUYING. WELL I RENTED ALL 7 OUT RIGHT NOW AND IN MY OPINION ONLY TWO MADE THE CUT. REINCARNATION WAS THE WORST, CHINESE FLICK AND ALL IN CHINESE AND SUBTITLED. TRY TO WATCH A HORROR MOVIE THAT YOU HAVE TO READ. TAKES AWAY FROM WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE MOVIE. IT WAS AWFUL. ALSO THE HAMILTONS, REALLY BORING AND DRAGGED OUT. DIDN'T CARE FOR THAT ONE EITHER. THE BEST TWO OUT OF THE BUNCH WAS "UNREST" AND "GRAVEDANCERS". SO I AM GLAD I RENTED THEM BECAUSE THAT SAVED ME FROM SPENDING BETWEEN $70 AND $80 WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE GOING RATE FOR THIS FULL SET. MOST OF THE MOVIES WERE FULL OF GORE AND NOT TOO BAD. I WANTED TO GO SEE THEM LAST HALLOWEEN AT THE THEATERS BUT DIDN'T GET TO DO IT. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THESE AND ARE A HORROR MOVIE BUFF, I WOULD RECOMMEND TRYING TO RENT THEM FIRST SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING BEFORE PURCHASING THE ENTIRE SET. YOU MIGHT NOT LIKE ANY OR JUST A FEW OR MAYBE NOT EVEN LIKE ANY OF THEM. HORROR MOVIES ARE MY FAVORITE TO WATCH AND I HAVE SEEN THEM ALL SO I THINK THE AVERAGE HORROR MOVIE FAN WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED WITH SOME OF THESE. I GAVE THEM A "GOOD" RATING ONLY DUE TO THE ABOVE AVERAGE HORROR MOVIE GORE AND SOME HAD SUSPENSE AS WELL BUT OVERALL I ONLY LIKED TWO OUT OF THE BUNCH. I TRULY THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE BETTER AND GLAD I DIDN'T PAY A MINT TO GO SEE EACH ONE AT THE THEATERS LAST YEAR EITHER. SAVED MYSELF ALOT OF MONEY BY RENTING THEM ALL. IF I WERE TO BUY ANY, I WOULD JUST PURCHASE UNREST AND GRAVEDANCERS BY THEMSELVES AND WOULD NOT BUY THE ENTIRE SET. IF YOU WANT TO SEE ALL OF THESE THEY ARE NOW ON THE SCI-FI CHANNEL FOR FREE DURING THE 13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN 2007.

So far I've seen the grave diggers and wicked little things. I thought they were both good but.... Its not that scary!!! They said it was soo scary that they wouldnt show in theaters?? Go and rent then decide.

After Dark Horror Fest

This collection isn't for everybody. It's for people who like Horror Films and can watch a horror film that isn't that good and still enjoy it.

I enjoyed all of these movies for different reasons and even though they aren't perfect, they're perfect for people who love horror.

I would recommend renting them first to make sure you like them though, just to be safe.

For the most part these movies were pretty weak! About the same quality as if made by the sci-fi channel or usa channel. The reason that they were not shown in theaters was not because they were too graphic, it was because they were too lame. In my opinion, the best ones were "Reincarnation" & "The Hamiltons".

I..Loved..all..that..gore,.it..was..disgusting,.but..at..the..same..time..I..was..loving..it!!!!.......You..just..cannot..find..that..in..the..theatres..today!!

Not what I expected. It was more like the movies that nobody wanted to see. Not recommended. Most of the movies were very lame and untalented.

I got the DVDs the next day but 2 of them were not in the case right and one is pretty banged up. Other than that this product is great.
