Afro Samurai (Playstation 3, 2009)

ilike the graphics on this.there is a bit of a tutorial as you go along to teach you a few moves at first.you essential take on other swordsmen and or charecters who know martial arts and kick ass on them.

This is a must have if you have watched the animated series. An all in all great hit and I must say if you can stand the language it is a game that will never be put away!

If you are looking for something to set the tone for the next gen of gaming...well this isn't it. What you get is a very cool but very graphical hack and slash game. It's fun to play and the animation reminds me of sly cooper and prince of persia (think I spelled it right). Need a game that you can kill time as well as enemies w/o the slow down of difficult puzzles or anything, give this a try. Besides, who doesn't like listening to Samuel L. Jackson

great beats and great beat downs. the action and great hiphip back beats make this game alot of fun.
Lots of great scenes just like the show on TV and there is a reason it's rated M (my guess is the language). This game is a sure entertainer!

I've read many reviews about this game before i eventually purchased it. Reading those review is what caused the hesitation of buying this game. Finally after giving in on behalf of major love for the cartoon, Sam Jackson and the RZA, I really dig thise game. It's raelly like a dynsty warriors meets the afro samurai cartoon. Pretty good mix for me. I being a good fan of the dynasty warriors franchise. The gameply control wise is fairly cool. Graphics are cool, probably way better on a big screen and music is fantastic. Actually the only bad note I would mention is maybe the camera angles, They are not bad, but they can be a pain at times. I guess i would describe it as a fun and entertaining game. I got mine for $20.

Even if you haven't seen the anime, if you enjoy sword play type games with an intriguing story this is the game for you! Afro Samurai is all about facing off against large groups of enemies [20-30 in some later instances of the game] and using varying skills [infocus, sword tricks and overfocus] to overcome these odds. However, the platforming elements of this game can become clunky during later portions of this game but overall I highly recommend it!

I have to admit that this game was a bit of a shocker-- it hits hard and fast. There, I confessed. Love the graphics, the story, the content is hilarious, I never expected this thing to work but it's probably going to be one of the must-have-yet-flying-under-the-radar games of the year. I haven't seen it featured in any of the popular gaming mags, probably because it's based on a show and was considered to be a way of cashing in on an existing brand. Oh well, their mistake. Instant cult classic, and yes the gameplay suffers somewhat because of the tripped out camera; however, this is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Games like Tomb Raider Underworld have shown us just how bad whacked-out camera controls really can be, and this game doesn't come anywhere close to being that bad. This game, in a word, is FUN.

the graphics are ok but the moves are iffy at best and there are too many moves to learn so finding the right one for the current situation is difficult

Amazing soundtrack.
Excellent swordplay.
Not enough diversity of enemy.
Camera can get clunky at times.
Environment is not consistent (ie certain ledges are platforms while others that should be are not)

This game is off the hook great pick up and play fun:), and it feels just like ur inside the ressurection movie and playing it urself.
alot of blood and chopped bodyparts to the great beats of the Rza:). what more can u wnat than killing and chopping to such great music.
story is entertaining and the fact that it gets a bit repetative dosnt matter much:)

Good fighting game/beautiful graphics. Follows story line somewhat> Adult oriented and very graphic. cuss words and blood and gore

Good game, a tad repetitive with a bunch of thing we've seen before, the art style is where it shines, so good hack & slash game overall

Great game play. Excellent action-adventure with good storyline and complex bosses. Difficult in some areas, but not too complex for an unseasoned player. Should be a staple of anyone's PS3 collection.

Awesome game. I like how you can chop people in half or into pieces. The graphics seem like cartoonish in a way, which is something different from other games.
