I have loved this movie since I was a kid. It embellishes everything a little girl or big girl believes about a great hero who believe in right and wrong. Even a three year old loves it. And when Errol Flynn as Robin Hood appears on a Bugs Bunny cartoon its the best. So I say its great for any age. So cheerful and as for historical it could be in any century wherever you put Robin Hood. Costumes are very true to live and very respectful.
