Adored - Diary of a Porn Star (DVD, 2004)

This is a moving story about a young man who is estranged from his family. He re-establishes a relationship with his brother after their father dies, and his brother finds out how he makes his living. This is a one of my favorite foriegn films. And like alot of foriegn films, you will not be spoon fed the plot like hollywood movies. I laughed, I cried, I didn't want the movie to end, and I definately fell in love with the main character.

I loved this movie! To me, the story transcends the outer story (about a European Gay Porn Star) and is, at the core, about brothers and family. Two estranged brothers reunite after the death of their wealthy father, the older has taken on being caretaker of castle and family legacy, while the other, our main character, has become one of Europe's most popular Gay Porn Stars. During the course of the film, as the brother's reunite, they learn to love each other all over again unconditionally. The ending is a bit tragic to me, but it fits within the context of the film. I was amazed at how well acted, directed, and produced this film was. I highly recommend this movie if you are fan of Foreign cinema, family dramas, and/or gay porn!

There is a language barrier in this movie. All of it's language is spoken in another country. The theme was okay but nothing to brag about. Don't buy this movie unless you can speak in a different language. You will be disappointed.
