Seller named Kenneth Mcintryre ripped me off. This book (item # 4635882325) was paid for on September 30, 2006. I paid $18.98 for the buy it now book which I never received, $16.72 for standard shipping, $3.48 for Insurance ( what a joke!), and $2.59 for tax which totaled out to be $41.77 which I paid through paypal. Paypal supposedly offers a buyer protection plan to its customers with any purchase paid through paypal. Well the buyer protection SUCKS! I was not refunded for anything. . . . Why? The seller is no longer a registered user, he disconnected his number and emptied out his paypal account. His feedback was private, I should of known. How do you know that he hasn't started another account with a new name? What a shame I really thought I could trust paypal with my purchase and I thank God that this seller did not rip me off for more!. Its just another lesson learned. I was not happy with paypal customer service department. . . They acted like thaey could care less about my frustration and was handled very poorly.

I expected the CD in the book because I needed it for my class, but there was no CD inside when I got it. The seller should have said there was no CD in it. I was disappointed. Other than that, the condition of the book was good.

I ordered the book more than a month ago, & make a follow up, but it never delivered on my door steps,I felt cheated & lost hope of ever getting the book. So I have nothing to comment about the Product.

Clear directions with examples. Great book to accompany you in your study of Adobe Illustrator. Decide it to buy it since I already purchased the Adobe CS2 software and wanted a book that will clearly explain how to use the many possibilities of this great software.

You will need some experience to use this manual. It does help with the harder topics. If you are going to be a graphic artist then I would recommend purchseing the entire series.
A concept maybe used in different ways and by having the library you will be able follow the logic of the concept.

I till this date have not recieved my purchase! I'm very upset! I've e-mailed the seller (amailer@half.com )more than 3 times and have never recived a responce. It's very upsetting to buy something and never recieve it! My transaction #: 31235883101 was very important that I recieve it for my class!! So I bought another one thr borders,com and bought one thru the used books for less money and recieved in 4 days. Becarefulk and read thier reviews before you purchase any books from the sellers!!

As with all the Adobe Classroom in a Book computer software guides, this one for Illustrator is exceptional. It is set up pretty much identically to the Photoshop book with the same series name. I like these books, in particular because they do have excellent tutorials that take you step-by-step through procedures that would be difficult without a guide as thorough as this series of books. The only difference to me, between these two guides, (Photoshop and Illustrator), is that the Illustrator book provides tutorials for projects that are not as interesting or attractive to me as the ones that were provided in the Photoshop book. This said, it is still a super book and really gets down to the nitty gritty of teaching a person how to work with Illustrator, which a still a program that is 'not for the timid!'

Whether this book is of value to you or not will depend on what you are looking for. As a beginner to using Illustrator, the book provides an excellent introduction to using the tools functionality. You will work through projects, building towards a final product, exploring the different tools offered along the way.
However, if you are an experience Illustrator user, then this book will have little value. Experienced users to stick to using the Bible series for reference.
