Gorgeous Cajun Duets by Linda Ronstadt & Ann SavoyReview created: 01/05/09

Linda Ronstadt and Ann Savoy (a great Louisana Cajun singer & guitar player) have have come together to make a fabulous collection of Cajun, ballads and folk songs. It is sung with great tenderness and spine tingling harmony in both English and French. Linda has the higher voice and takes advantage of her several octive vocal range and it is thrilling. She and Ann alternate singing lead and harmony, so it makes a nice variety. Ann was the big surprise for me. He voice is deeper than Linda's and very rich. She sings lead on all the French language songs. The acoustic band made up of well known professionals from Nashville, is perfect for showcasing the ladies' harmony. I love this CD and could not recommend it more highly.

linda still has the pipes. her voice is as pure and straight forward as ever. song selections are very mellow and contemplative. excellent addition to the collection
