This is a wonderful book to purchase as a collectible or to be used as an educational tool in a classroom or childcare center. I do both. This product by American Girls is now out of print but can be easily found on Ebay for sale.
The Addy craft book educates you about the world of a child who was formally a slave and the world that she was living in. It also shows and illustrates beautifully the wonderful crafts that a child would have made during the Civil War era. A wonderful addition to any collection.

) It is very fun doing these crafts with my daughter. It gives a nice glimpse into history. I would recommend any of the American Girl Craft or Cookbooks to people with children.
