Adams Idea A2 Fairway Wood Golf Club

I don't know if the Taylor, Cleveland, or Titleist clubs are any better, but I can't imagine that they are. Always a forged iron purist, I am amazed at the ease of use and versatility of this club. Can hit it high or low, and left or right, with very little manipulation. Always feels solid, and very consistent distance. If you like to work the ball with confidence, this club is the ticket. Great appearance at address also. No wonder it's so popular on the Champions and Nationwide Tours. I'd buy one for my best friend (if I wasn't playing him for money).

Decided to buy this club after a Demo Day at the local golf course. I tried both the TaylorMade and the Adams A2. Both clubs felt the same "sweet" but both do not cost the same. I just looked for a good deal and finally found the A2. After playing the A2 I made the right decision. I have a TaylorMade R7 driver(Great!) and Mizuno Pro irons(Also Great). The most important key is to find the correct shaft for your own swing speed. Go get your swing speed checked before you buy any club. You wouldn't go buy a pair of shoes without knowing your size.How long did it take for me to take my own advice-Many clubs ago!

I find it hard to believe some reviews here claim this club is unhittable or hard to hit! Here's my experience:
I finally replaced my 2-iron last year with the Adams A2 18* hybrid w/the stock Aldila 85-S shaft and it has been an absolute revelation! I've had trouble hitting anything longer than a 4-iron without missing to the right in the past, but this club is so easy to hit I actually weaken my grip to keep from hooking it! I can nut it 240 from the tee, but my usual in-control distance is about 225-230 and around 215-220 from off of the fairway (carry + roll). My golfing buddies just shake their heads now when I launch this puppy out there. I can also hit it out of the rough- something I could NEVER do with a 2-iron! In fact I don't even carry a 3-wood anymore, this club is my "go-to" choice for hitting narrow fairways with just enough distance to where it doesn't hurt me. I prefer carrying a 4th wedge now.
I'm a 7 hdcp and hit my driver 250-260, for reference.
I'm seriously considering replacing my 3-iron too, now- I mean it's THAT easy for me to hit this club. You'll lose distance on actual mis-hits, for sure- but still not as much as with an iron.
There's been 2 more years of technology and other brands are also into the hybrid business since the Adams A2, so maybe some are even more forgiving now. At any rate, this one's a keeper in my book.

This club in not a new model but have all the characteristics to complied with. In order to summit a fair review I have to said that this club fulfill all my expectations.

I bought this Adams A2 #2 hybrid from Rock Bottom Golf (to go with my Adams A2 #3 and #4 hybrids) and I'm very happy with my purchase. When I hook up with it, this thing will send the ball screaming off into the distance about 200 yards. I'm a very high handicap golfer, so shaping shots isn't really in my bag of tricks, but I do feel this is a club I can grow into. The rest of my set is also the Adams A2 line, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Great looking and feeling clubs. It's an honor to take this club out of my bag, step up to the ball and embarrass myself with it.

Just got my club and hit some practice balls. Immediate liking to THIS club! Pure shots seemed high and straight and the missed hits were not far off the mark. I am about 10-12 handicap and can't wait to get this club out there. It makes me feel feel confidant over my ball. Good Luck!

Adams A2 hybrid 3i and 4i with ALDILA NV shafts. These are great! First hybrid clubs i have ever owned. I played for the first time with them yesterday. I have never been able to hit a 3 or 4 iron as well..in fact, i have never carried the 3 or 4 irons with other sets i have owned. I like them so much, i may get the matching 5 iron.
I am 5'2" and have always had trouble hitting long irons. If you have trouble hitting long irons, i strongly suggest getting the Adams hybrid A2, well worth the money for game improvment.

I had the Idea A2 #3 & #4 hybrids in a Adams set Idea of irons. Though I was looking to change irons, I should have never sold the hybrids with the irons. So, this is my second set and I just love them... they are long & accurate - something a long iron just doesn't always do for a 64 year old.

Yes its easy to hit this club. I use a consistent 3/4 swing and I can send em (recycled golf balls) 200 yds(3 iron). Miss hits are pretty forgiving as are the boxer technology (A3) version, but you can work the ball better with these. I have a 2, 3, and 4 iron version of these and I love em. Just make sure you match your swing to what shaft you want. As far as the Aldila NV shaft goes I dont notice a critical difference in Stiff and Regular flex. Either one is better than steel wether your swing speed matches or not. I shoot low 90's-high 80's and I think these clubs benefit me more than my long irons I replaced with these. hit em good!

this club is awful looking and it just doesn't feel good when you hit it solid or not solid. it doesn't perform nearly as good as all the other hybrids, i'd rather use a 2 or 3 iron instead of this. complete waste of $80.00. do not buy this club. i'm a 0 handicap and couldn't hit it, so i gave it to my friend who's a 20, and he couldn't hit it, it's bad for the better player and for the higher handicapper, do not waste your money on this dumpy club. buyers beware of this club. i'm normally a great hybrid player, but this is just the worst club on the market right now. DO NOT BUY THIS CLUB!!!!!

Good club out of the rough, fairway or tee box. Pulled the stock Aldila NV and put an NVS in and seems to fit my swing perfectly. Great club!

wonderful club. Easier to hit than traditional 4 irons, and farther. made the purchase to see what all the hype was about. Distance of a short wood, straight like an iron, and a graphite shaft, make this a very forbiving club.

The seller was not familiar with ebay and did not know how to use paypal. Because of this it took over two weeks to get the items even though I had sent the money minutes after the sell completed. I was in the process of backing out of the deal when the seller figured out what to do. The product itself was in good condition.

I recently purchased an Adams Idea fairway golf club. The purchase transaction with the merchandiser was perfect. This buy was one of several that I have made through Ebay with this supplier and have been satisfied with each purchase. The excellent price available and the depth of information made available with this supplier allow me to buy in confidence.

After I received the item and put it to use I have not been happy with the club and how I am able to use it. However, that has nothing to do with the condition of the merchandise or the quality of the sale. I will continue to purchase from this supplier and has since made another purchase.
