Acer AL2223WD 22 inch LCD Monitor

I've been using my new monitor for a couple of weeks now and the first thing I want everyone to know is that I love having it and I love using it.

But let's confront the biggest (and only) problem first: yes, not all the pixels work properly. There are two stuck pixels, not located near each other, nor near the center of the screen. Sometimes I do notice them, but they've never bothered me. However, I think this reflects more on industry and manufacturing standards rather than on this particular make and model. Some people just need to have every last pixel working, and if you're one of those people, I strongly suggest you think about getting something locally or asking your eBay sellers some tough questions. I feel very satisfied with my purchase, but I understand that not everyone would be, so be careful. (My quick political/philosophical two cents: if every monitor manufactured were required to have zero defects, monitors would be a lot more expensive, especially because monitors are getting so big these days.) I haven't yet tried to fix them; your mileage could vary on that front as well.

Now, let's finish up with the great things: it's WAY bigger than my old 17" BenQ, and it's also a lot brighter. I have it in my home office, and I can sit on the couch in there and actually watch movies on the monitor across the room. Response time is great for movies and games. And the best thing of all: eBay pricing. If you like working with decent equipment for a fair price, check out all the monitors on eBay, and this model in particular.

i just got mine yesterday in the mail. I was so surprised after seeing how big
this thing was. ITS HUGE! Really nice quality, NO DEAD PIXELS. Really awesome monitor. I had 17" before that and now when i look at my old one I cant believe i was actually using something that small. This thing is incredible!! very fast response too. graphics are awesome!

I have 3 Acer Al2223WD hooked up to my Mac Pro. Stunning quality for the price. What I paid for the 3 of them still wouldn't have paid for a 23 inch Apple Cinema display. I have had no, zero, nadda problems. I also have an Acer AL1716 hooked up to my PC. The olny problem I have is the mysterious little finger prints that just appear out of thin air *so my youngest tells me!!!* and the peanutbutter ones are kind of tough to remove.... The little summer no-see-ums show no prejudice towards them either versious the old crts.... All I can say to finish is don't even think twice, don't waste time pondering, just go buy one, or two...

have also added a small speaker, I am not a big fun
of small speaker. If you want to get the best out
of this monitor, make use of the controls. This monitor
only weights about 12 lbs and it is certified for Vista.

This monitor finally won me over from the CRT camp. As a gamer I demand instant response time and very high resolution. This monitor has both, and at a price that wont break the bank. I had previously used an NEC CRT monitor which I loved very much for its high resolution and excellent color clarity. This Acer is the best monitor I have owned so far and it is alot easier to carry around to lan parties than a CRT. It is bright and having the option of DVI or VGA input is convenient. ( I use DVI ) One down side is that some older games do not support 1600x1050 resolution. Other than that it is a fantastic monitor.

The monitor is very large, very clear, and as with every Acer monitor I have seen/used in the past, it is free of dead pixels.

I had been looking for a larger monitor for some time and the Acer had just as sharp of an image as other high priced big name products. The styling is sleek and the price was great. It is very easy to install with an HP,Dell or E Machine, desktop or laptop.
The speakers are a little weak if you will be using it for a movie or music. I would recommend using a separate set of speakers which works out well since the audio is attached by a separate cable.
Over all the Acer 22" monitor is a great value and a quality product!

as the song goes..lovin' every minute of it. I do alot of gaming, with quick action, and I have yet to find something that it can't handle. On top of that, I do use it for tv viewing with no troubles...

My friend told me that once I use a 22" flat screen monitor I won't go back to what I formerly had. He was right. I love the clarity, the simplicity of making any adjustments in every aspect of resolution and display. I find nothing that I dislike. And the price was right.

I do video production and decided to purchase a widescreen. I did alot of research and for the price the Acer 22" seemed like the best buy. After using it for a month I am extremely pleased with it. The size is perfect and the resolution is very good. Bang for the buck the Acer AL2223WD has exceded my expectations.

I love the price of the model it is very reasonable for a 22" widescreen. The only problem with it is that if go to a completely black screen you will see some banding but that is totally tolerable, you do not see it when your are in a game or watching a movie though. The color only bleeds when you look at it up top other wise all the other angles and great. Overall the performance was excellent for the price.

Very easy to set up. Comes with proper cords. Doesn't take up much space and it looks great. Resolution is very good. Nice lighting options for theatre, text, video, etc.
