Acceleracers Ignition (DVD, 2005)

Lots of Action,and Super-Cool Car Scenes!
My 4-year old loves to play w/ his cars while watching,
The hot-wheels soundtrack is pretty neat as well!

If you have kids that love Hot Wheels and have any of the Acceleracer Hot Wheel cars, then this is the movie for them. This movie starts the entire Acceleracer four movie series (actually World Race: Highway 35 is the prequil).

This story is good and I would give it a Rated G. The concept of the enemy characters called the Racing Drones reminds me of a cross between Alien and Predator...both of which I love. But I must let parents know, this does NOT get anywhere near the violence nor horror as the original movies they were created from...very appropriate for 3-5 year olds (and up).

The marketing folks have done a great job with the concept cars shown in the movie and the Hot Wheel replica cars available in retail stores for 4 times the cost of the regular Hot Wheel cars...yeah (feel the sarcasm here). We've purchased most of the cars from retail outlets but have purchased a bundle of the Acceleracer cars from eBay.

If you're kids love Ignition, then you'll be shopping for the next three movies in this series: Breaking Point, Speed of Silence, and Ultimate Race (they sell all four in a DVD box set).

My son loved this movie. It has alot of action , he could not take his eyes off of the screen. He had to see every part and couldnt miss a bit . Great movie >>>

my son has the acceleracer collection and this completed his set for him, he loves the movie and is very please he has them all now.

It was fast and easy to shop online! The selection was wide and my options were right before me to choose from. I love the price and the convenience of ebaying.

This movie helped my son through a difficult hospital stay as he watched it over and over from the confines of his bed. My teenage daughter and I both like it, too! We can't wait for the release of the 4th movie to see how the saga ends. What I didn't know about it was that it is the same as the three short movies that are sold with the Acceleracers Hyperpod car toys in the store. So, if you have those three already, you don't really need this movie and can purchase Volume 2, The Speed of Silence. This DVD does have a few mini movies (like 3 minutes long) that are not included with the short ones that come with the car toys, though. My son is in Kindergarten and because of this movie and his new reading skills, he reads the bottom of each car he has to check for the word "Hotwheels" versus "Matchbox". I don't think you can go wrong with this movie!

It's something my son loves. He loves cars(Huh-Ohs). It keeps him happy when he's sick and loves to play with his Huh-Oh while watching the movie.
